Professor Frank E. A. Sander Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

On Monday, July 21, Professor Emeritus Frank E. A. Sander received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American College of Civil Trial Mediators at its annual meeting in Camden, Maine.

The American College of Civil Trial Mediators is a non-profit organization of professionals distinguished by their experience, skill, ethical standards, and professional commitment to mediation, conflict management, and alternative dispute resolution.

Frank E. A. Sander is the Harvard Law School Bussey Professor of Law Emeritus. He is a leading expert on alternative methods of dispute resolution and is one of the pioneers of the field. Among other innovations, one of his early papers put forth the idea of the “Multi-Door Courthouse,” a court system that helps direct disputants to the most appropriate route to resolution.
