About the book:

Negotiation is undoubtedly essential to navigating the working world. Dr. Kolb’s  Negotiating at Work offers cogent and accessible advice on how to negotiate effectively, focusing on how to use negotiation strategy to increase opportunities, flexibility, and support in the work space. This road map specifically highlights the barriers to success women face and how women can navigate and overcome these barriers through effective negotiation skills.

Seen as a significant contribution to the current literature on workplace negotiations, Negotiating at Work has received  praise from authors and executives alike. William Ury, author of Getting to Yes and The Power of a Positive No applauds the book, saying it is a “practical and insightful guide to negotiations at work…tak[ing] on the longstanding and critical issue of women’s leadership, creating the possibility of a win not only for the individual leader but also for the entire organization. Readers, both women and men, will find themselves better equipped to introduce positive change in the workplace.

Echoing Ury’s sentiments, fellow author and editor Marshall Goldsmith stated,  “Dr. Kolb has an uncommon understanding of what it means to negotiate well. Her win–win–win approach detailed in Negotiating at Work has the power to be an immediate game–changer for women and the companies they work for. Buy this book for yourself and anyone responsible for retaining top talent!”
