About the Speaker:

Ms. Rockwood is a senior research fellow with the Project on Managing the Atom, Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard Kennedy School. Ms. Rockwood served as the Section Head for Non-Proliferation and Policy Making in the Office of Legal Affairs of the International Atomic Energy Agency from 1985 to 2014, where she was responsible for all legal issues related to safeguards and nuclear non-proliferation. She was involved in all aspects of the negotiation, interpretation and implementation of IAEA safeguards, and participated in the high level negotiations on Iran, Iraq and North Korea. In June 2015, she will take up the position of Executive Director of the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation in Vienna, Austria.
