What is PON Global – Online?

An innovative, blended learning course that has been hosted in cities around the world, PON Global is now being offered virtually. Launched in 2016, PON Global is dedicated to bringing PON’s negotiation concepts, techniques, and curriculum to people around the globe. PON Global – Online’s interactive format is designed to provide you with cutting-edge negotiation skills, teach you to overcome emotional and rational biases, and help you learn a range of cooperative and competitive negotiation strategies.

Who should attend this program?

PON Global attracts a diverse audience from the private and public sectors. Participants represent a range of industries and roles, including the following: Chief executive officers; Company presidents and officers; Board chairs and board members; Executive directors; Managing directors; Directors of operations; Human resources, purchasing, marketing, and sales managers; Government officials and diplomats; Lawyers; Mediators; Program directors.

How do I register for PON Global – Online?

There are two simple ways to register:

How much does PON Global – Online cost?

The 2020 pricing is as follows:

Six sessions: $2,998

Are there any discounts available?

At this time, we are unable to provide any discounts to our online programs. We are also unable to provide any grants, financial aid, or special rates for nonprofit organizations.

What is your payment policy?

Tuition must be paid upon acceptance into the program. Enrollment is not guaranteed until payment has been received in full. If paying tuition by wire, PON requires a wire receipt within 5 business days of acceptance sent via email to negotiation@law.harvard.edu.

As of 21 business days prior to the start date of the course, tuition is immediately due for prior and new registrations.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations received in writing at least 21 business days prior to the start date of the course, will be eligible for a full refund less a $500 administrative fee, issued in the original form of payment (check or credit card). Cancellation requests received within 21 business days prior to the start of the course are subject to full payment of the program fee. Please submit your cancellation request in writing to PON: negotiation@law.harvard.edu.

What is the transfer policy?

At this time, it is not possible to transfer enrollments from PON Global – Online to future courses.

What is the substitution policy?

Registrants may substitute their registration with another person from the same organization. All requests must be received in writing no later than 5 business days prior to the start date of the course.

Where is PON Global – Online held?

Our online courses use Zoom and Canvas for web conferencing and program materials. If this is your first time using either platform, you should plan to join one of the optional tech sessions in advance of the course. Participants must be able to navigate both platforms during the program.

Is there a dress code for the program?

Business casual dress is the expected attire for all program functions and classes.

Will we receive a certificate?

Yes, a Certificate of Completion is provided for the six-session PON Global – Online course.

Is PON Global – Online accredited?

This is a professional skills program; it is not accredited, and no course credit or continuing education credits are offered.

Prior to attending, is there any preparation required for PON Global – Online?

An important aspect of PON Global is that participants come to the course with a common framework of negotiation strategies, skills, and terms to best equip participants for the intensive sessions of the course. We have prepared a Negotiation Primer for your advance reading, available via the Canvas course website in advance of the course. We will provide other readings and assignments via the Canvas course website about 1 week in advance of the course.

What materials will I receive at the course? How much reading will there be?

Our online courses use Zoom and Canvas for web conferencing and program materials. During the course you will gain access to short readings, session slides and handouts, educational videos, as well as case studies and exercises to read and/or complete. You will be asked to prepare for and participate in paired or group negotiations or exercises throughout the course.

If this is your first time using either platform, you should plan to join one of the optional tech sessions in advance of the course. Participants must be able to navigate both platforms during the program.

What level of English is required?

The language of instruction for the course will be English without interpretation. Participants must be able to converse fluently in dialogue with the instructors and other students. A TOEFL score of at least 100 (internet based) or 570 (written exam) is recommended. PON may call applicants to assess English proficiency.
