The Insider

Event Date: Wednesday October 31, 2007
Time: 6:30 P.M.
Location: Aldrich 112, Harvard Business School

Join us for the true story of tobacco industry whistle-blower Jeffrey Wigand, the former head of development at the Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co., who went public on CBS-TV’s 60 Minutes as an industry informant. 60 Minutes producer Lowell Bergman championed Wigand’s cause and after many obstacles managed to have the segment aired. The relationship between the two men developed around their struggle to reveal the truth despite personal and professional hardships.

Professor Max Bazerman, Jesse Isidor Straus Professor of Business Administration and member of the faculty at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, will facilitate a discussion after the film. Professor Bazerman has served as an expert witness for the Department of Justice in their case against the tobacco industry.

Pizza and drinks will be provided.
