The PON Student Interest Group (SIG) Fireside Chat with Jennifer Brown

Please join Professor Jennifer Brown for a talk about her research on sexual orientation and the law, and her career path in alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

Professor Jennifer Brown is a visiting professor at HLS, and professor of law and the director of the Quinnipiac Center on Dispute Resolution at Quinnipiac University School of Law. Her teaching and scholarship focus on gender, sexual orientation, and the law; alternative dispute resolution; and lawyers’ professional responsibility. Prior to teaching law, Professor Brown clerked for Harold A. Baker, U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and practiced as a litigator with Winston & Strawn, Chicago, Illinois.
Professor Brown serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF), the Steering Committee of Freedom to Marry, and an organizing board of advisors for “Straight for Equality,” a new initiative by PFLAG to boost nongay advocacy for LGBT equality.

The PON Fireside Chats provide a venue where PON faculty share their experiences of entering and working in the field of negotiation and conflict resolution, share findings from their current research, and encourage students to think innovatively about the field.
