The Biased Mediator: Ensuring Integrity in Court-Annexed Mediation

Some states have developed specific mechanisms to ensure the integrity of the mediation process carried out under the auspices of the court system. PON Visiting Scholar Peter Tochtermann will report on the latest experiences in Florida, one of the states with the most advanced court-annexed mediation system in the U.S. Peter will explore whether the structures found in the U.S. can serve as a model for Germany, where mediation is about to be implemented into the court system.
