Time: 12:30 - 1:45 P.M.
Location: Pound Hall 335, Harvard Law School

Ambassador Swanee Hunt, Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy and Director of the Women in Public Policy Program at the Kennedy School of Government

Recently returned from Rwanda, Swanee Hunt joins PON for a brown bag lunch to describe her visit. Dr. Hunt will discuss their influence on rebuilding a nation devastated by genocide.

Swanee Hunt’s past accomplishments include extensive work in domestic and foreign policy. As the U.S. Ambassador to Austria for four years (1993 to 1997), she focused on the conflict in the neighboring Balkan states and on the encouragement of women leaders throughout Eastern Europe. Hunt has contributed hundreds of articles to newspapers, magazines, and professional journals. She is a syndicated columnist, and her work has been featured in four TV documentaries. She chairs Women Waging Peace, a global policy-oriented initiative integrating women into peace processes. She has a BA in philosophy, two master’s degrees (in psychology and religion), and a doctorate in theology.
