THE FIRE NEXT TIME chronicles two years in the life of a dangerously divided town in Northwest Montana where hate and intolerance manifest themselves in a community polarized by rapid change, economic displacement and environmental issues.

Following the film, MIT and HLS Visiting Professor Lawrence Susskind will moderate a discussion with Executive Producer Patrice O’Neill and Co-Producer Pam Calvert on issues raised in the documentary.

PON will host an an in-depth conversation about issues raised in The Fire Next Time, with producers O’Neill and Calvert leading a brainstorming session on possible ways to use the July national PBS broadcast of the film as a tool for public engagement on these issues, on April 21 — click here for more information.
