NEW! Getting to Yes with William Ury’s BB3 Strategy

Faculty: William Ury

Forty years ago, William Ury, together with Roger Fisher, wrote Getting to Yes, a best-selling book that sold over 15 million copies and today is often considered the seminal work of negotiation.

Now, you have the opportunity to spend a full day online with Ury as he synthesizes his decades of experience applying the powerful principles of Getting to Yes to boardroom battles, labor strikes, international conflict situations, and civil wars.

This one-day program goes beyond the book to delve into Ury’s new BB3 strategy, which allows you to transform seemingly impossible conflicts into creative negotiations for mutual gain.

With his expert guidance, you’ll learn a set of dynamic, daily practices that can be employed immediately to defuse toxic emotions, get past rigid positions, and interrupt fierce fights and power struggles. Even when stuck in intractable conflict, you’ll still be able to see, create, and act upon new possibilities with Ury’s BB3 strategy.

Make an impact with the BB3 strategy

The BB3 strategy involves focusing simultaneously on getting to yes with yourself, with the other party, and with the larger whole. BB3 stands for the three components of this strategy:

  • B = Balcony: A place of perspective where you can see the larger picture and keep your eyes on the prize.
  • B = Golden Bridge: An audacious solution that works back from imagining your counterpart’s victory speech.
  • 3 = Third Side: The surrounding community that can be mobilized to help the parties get to yes.
Take getting to yes to the next level

In this highly interactive session, you’ll participate in breakout sessions, individual and group exercises, and a variety of other hands-on experiences. Equipped with new skills and frameworks, you’ll be prepared to transform your approach to negotiation and, ultimately, get to yes.
