About: Vale Southard

Vale Southard is a Program Assistant for the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. She supports several programs, including PON Global. Prior to joining PON, Vale worked as a music educator for Brookline Public Schools and the Handel and Haydn Society. While teaching, she realized that she wanted to support education for performers of all disciplines, including negotiation. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Miami and a Master of Science in Performance Science from the Royal College of Music, London. Her master’s dissertation explored the experience of music students and surgical education students who participated together in a joint simulation event. In her spare time, Vale enjoys singing, baking, and hanging out with her dog, Sherbert.
