About: Shiona Sommerville

Shiona manages a selection of PON’s Executive Education offerings: The Harvard Negotiation Institute Program, the Advanced Negotiation Master Class for experienced negotiators, and two semester-length seminars. Prior to her role at PON, Shiona managed client outreach, oversaw training programs, and supervised mediators in District Courts for the Harvard Mediation Program (HMP) at the Harvard Law School. Shiona is an accomplished mediator and certified urban planner who cut her teeth facilitating multi-party processes and multi-day design workshops, and she maintains a passionate interest in processes to resolve land use and environmental disputes and the application of mediation and negotiation skills for land use practitioners. Shiona is a graduate of McMaster and Guelph Universities, Canada, and holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Environmental Management from Harvard. She is Board Member of the New England Association for Conflict Resolution, and volunteers for Year Up, Boston. Shiona can be reached at ssommerville@law.harvard.edu.
