In his presentation, Michael Cohen will discuss negotiation challenges inherent in bringing complementary and alternative medical therapies (such as acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, and herbal medicine) into conventional medical settings. He will also address some of the legal and ethical issues involved in integrating complementary therapies.

Michael H. Cohen, JD, is Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Legal Programs at the Harvard Medical School Osher Institute and Division for Research and Education in Complementary and Integrative Medical Therapies.

Following Mr. Cohen's talk is this month's Peervision case. Jay Uhler will present a case involving a two party real estate conflict with seven people representing each side of the conflict. He will discuss the differences and similarities when there are two disputants present versus several, how to manage conflict with an attorney on one side, and how to deal with resistance or barriers to reaching a solution.

Jay Uhler is an organizational and clinical psychologist, an ordained minister, the facilitator for Peervision and the author of How to Make Friends With Your Feelings. He is also a conflict resolution consultant to companies in the U.S. and Europe.
