The Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program (HNMCP) is nominated for an Innovating Justice Award for its proposal, “Retooling Legal Education and Dispute Systems Designers.”

HNMCP could win €50.000 worth of Innovation Lab Services from the Innovating Justice Experts, including support for further financing. A round of public voting will decide the top three innovations and then a professional jury will decide which of the three will win the award.

The Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program ^[3] is the nation’s first legal clinic dedicated to researching dispute systems design and conflict management.

Founded in 2006 by Program on Negotiation faculty member Robert Bordone ^[4], HNMCP provides Harvard Law School students with real-world experience in dispute resolution and conflict management.

Students are partnered with organizations, institutions, or individuals who work with projects related to negotiation, dispute resolution, or conflict management.
Since its founding, HNMCP has provided conflict management advice to a variety of organizations including the Chilean Ministry of Justice, the U.S. Department of Justice, PayPal, Seeds of Peace, the National Institutes of Health, Montgomery County Public Schools, the American Red Cross, and the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau.
