This is a fascinating subject. I the UK the last elections did not give a clear winner so the Liberal Democrats, who sit in the middle, joined with the Conservatives (right) in a coalition against the Labour Party (left). This coalition has been anything but united and there has been a lot of fighting within it. Recently the Liberals said that they may enter into a coalition with the Labour Party if given the chance. So, in theory a coalition looks like an opportunity to make one strong team out of two weaker teams. In reality there is absolutely no guarantee that it will be a harmonious relationship and it could just be an open door to a lot of different problems. Reply
